Enhanced Energy Efficiency

One of the most effective ways to reduce greenhouse emissions is to be more efficient. By incorporating new technologies and strategies, Garage Doors of Scottsville has significantly reduced our carbon footprint.

Building for energy-efficiency: In the United States alone, buildings are responsible for 25-35% of greenhouse gas emissions. By making simple changes, like using the proper amount of insulation, we can save half of the energy it takes to heat, cool, light, and otherwise provide power to buildings. And, with buildings lasting for 40-50 years or more, efficiency choices we make now will last at least a generation.

Garage Doors of Scottsville’s commitment to the environment is an ongoing effort that incorporates the utilization of green products and services in all aspects of our business.

Packaging - Many of our cardboard, plastic and foam packaging materials are made from recycled materials.

Insulation - Our expanded polystyrene insulation is recyclable and is also CFC free. Expanded polystyrene also maintains its insulating value throughout the life of the product.

Wood and Composite products - Several composite wood products produced by Garage Doors of Scottsville utilize paper and wood chip recycling.

Steel and Aluminum Products - Whenever and wherever possible, Garage Doors of Scottsville uses steel and aluminum materials that originate from recycled material.

Rubber, Plastic and petroleum based products - Anywhere possible, recycled petroleum products are utilized.
